Scorpion control in New Braunfels & Comal County
Scorpions are common across Comal County's limestone Hill Country, and the striped bark scorpion is the one most often found inside homes. Bug King cuts their numbers by treating where they hide, sealing the gaps they use to get in, and reducing the insects they hunt. Tyler offers monthly or quarterly service for homes with steady scorpion activity.

How it works
How Tyler handles scorpion control
Inspect
Tyler checks the yard, foundation, rock and wood piles, garage and attic. Scorpions glow under UV light, which makes inspection at dusk especially telling.
Treat where they live
Targeted treatment around the foundation, eaves, weep holes, rock borders and other hiding spots.
Close the doors
Door sweeps, weatherstripping, screened weep-hole covers and sealed plumbing gaps make it much harder for scorpions to get in.
Cut their food supply
Treating crickets, roaches and other prey insects makes your home less attractive to scorpions.
Keep at it
Scorpions are tough. Regular monthly or quarterly service during warm months keeps their numbers down.
When it peaks in the Hill Country
Scorpions are most active from late spring through early fall, hunting on warm nights. Hot, dry spells and heavy rain both push them indoors looking for moisture and shelter, and new construction that disturbs rocky ground can send them into nearby homes.

FAQ
Scorpion control questions
Why am I finding scorpions in my house?
Usually because they live close by, under rocks, wood piles, landscape borders or in the attic, and they're following insects to eat. Gaps under doors, around pipes and in weep holes let them in.
Can you get rid of scorpions completely?
Honestly, in the Hill Country it's rare to eliminate every scorpion around a home. Regular treatment, sealing entry points and controlling the insects they eat can bring indoor sightings down a lot.
Are scorpion stings dangerous?
Stings from Central Texas scorpions are painful but rarely dangerous for healthy adults. Call your doctor or Poison Control at 1-800-222-1222 if a young child, an older adult or anyone with an allergic reaction is stung, and call 911 for trouble breathing.
How often do I need scorpion treatment?
Homes with steady activity usually do best with monthly or quarterly service through the warm months. Tyler will recommend a schedule after he sees your property.
